Bang Tao, Phuket

Bang Tao sits on Phuket's northwest coast within the Choeng Thale (Cherngtalay) subdistrict of Thalang district, roughly 25 minutes from Phuket International Airport. The district has about 8 km of sandy beach and the Laguna Phuket resort complex with five-star hotels, a golf course, and luxury real estate. At the heart of Phuket's real estate appeal is Laguna Phuket, a 1,000-acre integrated resort by the Banyan Group, located along Bang Tao Beach, built around lakes and woodlands and including seven world-class hotels, an award-winning golf course, and over 3,000 branded condos interconnected by free shuttle buses and ferries.

The area has evolved well beyond its resort origins into a full-fledged residential district for long-stay expats, investors, and families. The area is constantly developing with the opening of international schools, shopping centres, shops, and beauty salons, aimed at the European consumer and offering a high level of quality. In 2023 alone, over 4,000 new condo units were launched across the island, a fourfold jump from the previous year, and a sizable chunk of these were in the Bangtao/Cherngtalay vicinity.

Short-term rentals in Bang Tao average 6-10% gross yield, driven by strong year-round demand from tourists and expats.

This growing global appeal has also caught the attention of large developers looking to enter Thailand, including India's M3M Group, which has identified Phuket among its target Thai markets.
